My Skills

I completed a Specialization course in research methods, design, and statistical analysis for social research questions. The course equipped me with the skills necessary to develop research questions, gather data, and analyze and report on results using statistical methods. The final Capstone Project allowed me to apply these skills to my own research question and produce a comprehensive report based on my findings. Overall, thiscourse enhanced my proficiency in social science research and statistical analysis.

Bachelor of Development Studies (BDevs) is an interdisciplinary social research program that focuses on understanding the social, economic, and political dimensions of development. Through this program, I have gained a deep understanding of development issues and develop critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills to contribute to the field of development.

CENSUS ENUMERATOR Government of Nepal

As a census enumerator for the Government of Nepal for Census 2021, I developed strong communication ,interpersonal and research skills through conducting interviews with individuals from diverse backgrounds. I also gained experience in data collection and analysis, as well as time management and organization skills.

SURVEYOR Government of Nepal

As a surveyor for the Integrated Drinking Water and Sewage Management Project, my job involved conducting surveys and collecting data on water and sewage systems. I used specialized equipment and techniques to measure and map out the project area, and analyzed the data to identify potential challenges and opportunities. I collaborated with other professionals to develop solutions and strategies for improving water and sewage management. I also communicated with stakeholders to provide updates on the project's progress and address any concerns or questions they may have had. Overall, my role as a surveyor was critical in ensuring the success of the project and improving access to safe and reliable water and sewage services.

SURVEYOR AND RAPPORTEUR DONGKBANG FOUNDATION

As a Surveyor and Rapporteur, I conducted research on the demand for the operation of an education center in Pokhara ward no.26~27, Nepal for Dongkbang Foundation, Korea. I organized and facilitated focus group discussions and in-depth interviews with married women to collect data and insights. I analyzed the data and produced a report on the findings, highlighting the key factors driving the demand for the education center. I worked closely with the project team to ensure that the research wasconducted in a timely and effective manner, and that the findings were presented in a clear and concise manner. Overall, my role played a critical part in understanding the needs and preferences of the target audience, which will inform the development of an effective education center to strengthen the capacity of married women in Pokhara.

Poverty is the syndrome of assetlessness, landlessness, joblessness, deprivation and helplessness. It is not a pure economic phenomenon. It has social, cultural, political, historical, and geographical dimensions. As poverty has many dimensions, it has to be looked at through a variety of indicators such as levels of income and consumption, social indicators, and now, increasingly, indicators of vulnerability to risks, and of socio/political access. It has many non income and non quantifiable dimensions.

Environmental Protection in Nepal

The Constitution of Nepal, 2015 has several provisions related to environmental conservation. Some of the key provisions include: Article 18(1) states that the State shall ensure the conservation and protection of the natural resources and biodiversity of the country. Article 18(2) states that the State shall ensure the conservation and development of forests, rangelands, wetlands, and other ecosystems. Article 18(3) states that the State shall take measures to control and prevent pollution, and to protect the environment.
